When Does The Super Bowl Start?

It’s officially Superbowl Sunday this February 7th, 2010! Today’s big NFL football game will feature the New Orleans Saints taking on the Indianapolis Colts. So you’re probably anxious to know just when does the Super bowl start? The Super bowl kickoff time is officially scheduled for 6:25 PM EST on CBS. This may be subject to change as pre-game activities and festivities can often push the time back a bit before we see the ball actually kicked off to start the game!
This will mark Superbowl XLIV, or Superbowl 44 in 2010. It’s the second time in the past 4 years that Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts have made it to the big game. Several years ago Manning’s Colts defeated the NFC Champion Chicago Bears to get Manning his first Superbowl ring. Now he’s on the hunt for his second. Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints are hungry for their first official NFL championship. They’ve never been in the big game before and New Orleans as well as many other parts of America are pulling for the Saints to win it all!
So while it’s already been scheduled for 6:25 PM EST on CBS, it’s tricky to know the exact time for when does the Super bowl start. The Super bowl kickoff time may be pushed back 10-20 minutes due to opening festivities, but expect to see the football game underway sometime between 6 and 7 PM EST on CBS. Now get your Superbowl 2010 party on and enjoy today’s game!
